Welcome! I'm a Companion and Here's Why I’m Ditching Social Media for My Own Space

I used to be that person who felt like I had to be on the main platforms. Especially Instagram and Twitter. But the more I posted in those places, the more I realized something: social media was sucking the fun out of things for me.

So, I’m doing something different. Instead of juggling a bunch of accounts, I’m keeping everything in one place—my own website. Here’s why:

1. Social Media is Overstimulating (and Exhausting)

I don’t know about you, but scrolling through social media often leaves me feeling more drained than inspired. The endless feed, the notifications, the constant pressure to keep up—it’s just… a lot. I’d log in to share something small, and an hour later, I’d be deep into someone else’s drama, a random debate in the comments section, or a spiral of perfectly curated content that made me question whether I was doing enough.

Having my own site means I can share updates without all that noise. No distractions, no doom-scrolling—just a space that’s actually mine.

2. Managing Multiple Accounts Took the Fun Out of It

When I was posting everywhere, it started to feel like a chore. I wasn’t just sharing for fun anymore—I was thinking about how to post it on each platform, what the algorithm would like, how to keep up engagement, and whether I was “doing it right.” It was exhausting.

Now? I don’t have to worry about any of that. If I want to write something, I write it. If I want to share a photo, I post it. Simple. No algorithm to please, no constant comparison, no weird pressure to be “consistent.”

3. I’d Rather Connect Intentionally

Social media is built for speed—you scroll, you like, you move on. But I want something slower and more intentional. If you’re here, reading this, it means you actually wanted to be here. And that feels way more meaningful than a random like or follow from someone who won’t even remember my page in a week.

4. I Just Want to Create Without Overthinking

At the end of the day, I love sharing my thoughts, my work, my little life updates—but I don’t love feeling like I have to perform to do it. My website lets me share in a way that feels natural, not forced. No pressure, no distractions—just a space to be myself.

So, if you ever want to see what I’m up to, you’ll find me here. No endless feeds, no noise—just me, sharing when I feel like it. And honestly? That feels like a breath of fresh air.
